"The lone elf in furs and the orange markings of the fox tribe checks the traps he set a couple days ago. A twig snaps behind him. He is startled and turns around but it is too late. His attacker bears down and quickly kills him. The assailant cuts off a hand and and a piece of fur from dead wood elf before taking off into the night."

"In King's Hollow, Mama Linden feels a familiar spirit in her circle. It is one of the Calder children. After Laelia is brought back she is distraught and inconsolable. She babbles to herself and grows agitated under any questioning on what happened. When it was suggested she sleep, Laelia became hysterical and kept repeating 'She will come for me now. She will come for me now.'"

"Quite sure."
"Very well then send out messengers telling the people of the change they have no doubt noticed by now.

Letters and messengers were sent out to all corners of the Kingdom on Dragon's Bane informing the citizens that when the change happened the Eastern and Western Duchy's had switched places. Now the Western Duchy was the Western Duchy to the East and the Eastern Duchy was the Eastern Duchy to the West.

Messengers came across a small gypsy caravan heading west. When the head of the caravan heard the news, he swore and turned the oxen around and started heading in the opposite direction.
